My Story

Lee Martin
Lee Martin

Hi my name is Lee Martin and in October of 2006 I had open heart surgery with 6 bypasses.  I fully recovered and in November of 2007 I turned 60 and retired as an active Police Chaplain ready to do something different with the second part of my still young life. :)

Writing had always been of great interest so I began to explore different avenues one of which was the Internet.  In 2008 after taking a very few short lessons from an on line freelance writer I applied for one of the weirdest experiments I had ever heard of. It was called 7 million in 7 years it was a Millionaires in Training experiment.  Over a period of several months I kept making the cut until I found myself as actually one of the 7 millionaires in training.

To Check out what this is all about go to: http://7m7y.com  on the right hand side you’ll find my photo and name “Lee” click on that and you can see my involvement thus far.

Anyway I have a goal of reaching $3,000,000 by the year 2018.  It’s been quite a process and it’s far from being over, as a matter of fact it’s just begun.

MY SITUATION IS UNIQUE in that my faith and understanding of scripture seems to indicate that “Great Riches” and behaving in a Godly fashion don’t mix.  Other scriptural concepts like “the love of money” cause some of my friends to think I probably shouldn’t be involved in this experiment.

PART OF THE PURPOSE OF THIS BLOG is to demonstrate to people that the same process that I’m going through to reach my financial goal can and should be applied to a person who wishes to “be all that God wants him or her to be”.

My personal “LIFE’S PURPOSE” is “TO GLORIFY GOD IN ALL THAT I DO”

Join me in my journey as I document what I’m going through and hopefully it’ll help you on your journey where ever it may lead you.

  1. Congratulations on your new site, Lee.

What a great and noble cause to be able to show by your own actions that money and prayer do not have to be in conflict.
